DIN HASSAN
Mixologist Maestro

A true veteran from the industry with over two decades of experience behind some of Singapore’s most iconic nightspots and cocktail bars over the years, Din Hassan’s bartending career is one of the most transformative and fulfilling of our time.

Having worked his way through some of Singapore’s most innovative cocktail bars, Din’s career has evolved beyond the bar and seen him work with some of the world’s most renowned alcohol brands such as Rémy Cointreau, Domaine de Canton, Drambuie, Edrington, Peter F. Heering, Diageo, and Bitter Sweet Consultancy, which he currently manages.

No stranger to the region, Din has also travelled extensively to help consult for bars beyond Singapore such as Skyy 57 in Jakarta, Doors and Essence Hotel in Phnom Penh and Niner Ichi Nana in the Philippines, as well as judged cocktail competitions around the world, from Japan to London. Din is also one of the academy members of The World’s 50 Best Bars, Asia’s 50 Best Bars, a seminar committee member of the prestigious Tales of the Cocktails, and was most recently awarded as one of The Bar Awards Luminaries in its 2018 run.

As a founding father of the local cocktail bar scene, coupled with his passion, knowledge and savoir-faire when it comes to mixing the perfect drink, Din now brings his expertise to the bar programme at Telok Ayer Arts Club, where he takes the best of Southeast Asian flavours and distils it into a concise but clever menu of time-honoured signatures from the region and reinvented classics well-suited to local palates.
